Child-sized art walks

Paris’ Musée en Herbe is continuing your little ones’ artistic education even while it remains closed, by offering fun outings in neighbourhoods around the capital. The tours are designed for ages 6 and above and are led by facilitators, with children heading off to meet artists in Montmartre and Les Halles, discovering street art on walls around the 13th arrondissement and more. Not only will they have fun, they’ll learn to look at Paris in a whole new light!

A garden to melt even the stoniest of hearts

Families – we have good news! The sculpture garden at Paris’ Musée Rodin is open again. Come and wander through the lush greenery, and leave the hubbub of city life far behind. While we wait to get back inside the museum itself, the kids can enjoy hunting down the famous artist’s works and copying the poses of the Thinker and the Burghers of Calais, and you can make the most of a very welcome break surrounded by culture and nature.

A fairytale voyage to the animal kingdom

Once again this year, the ZooSafari de Thoiry invites you to a spectacular show. With its Lumières Sauvages display, the castle’s gardens and grounds are transformed into a magical land filled with all sorts of animals from around the world – all made out of lights. The route is one big enchanted odyssey that will dazzle little ones and help their parents find their inner child again!

Teens – we haven't forgotten you

Are outings for your teen in short supply? Then take them to discover street art in southeastern Paris. From the city streets all the way to Vitry-sur-Seine, there’s an incredible open-air museum just waiting to be found where the displays never stay the same for long. From monumental frescoes to tags and stencils, the creations by these masters of pattern and colour capture the zeitgeist of modern life and transform public spaces into works of art. What better way to spark a teenager’s imagination!

A forest walk like no other

Keen for a memorable family experience? For the 2021 winter holidays, there’s no need to travel miles to the mountains to get slipping and sliding. Instead, head to the forest of Fontainebleau, strap yourself into a sled steered by a professional musher (or driver) and let the sled dogs do the work as you roam the tree-lined trails. An experience like no other just up the road from home!
